Focus & Information Overload Internet Marketing Tips 33

All the tactics to fool the search engines are futile. We must play their game. We won’t outsmart them. Their game is producing good, credible content around a tight niche. I can talk all day about on page and off page SEO strategies which I’m sure you know already.

….but working on one site for 1-6 months or even a year or more around your expertise and building your mailing list will lead to greater profits and personal satisfaction than building 20-100 sites in the same amount of time.

Figure out what about your work you like and which parts you eventually would like to give to someone else to do. Work towards eventually using other people’s time to get your goals accomplished. But even then, you need to know what you’re learning now to direct others to do what you want and at a price which is fair.

Think of your first year or two with IM (Internet Marketing) as going to college. Your rewards are your knowledge. Knowledge that will pay steady dividends in time

Here’s a last tip. When you do what you like, it flows and you don’t get as tired. When you feel bogged down, tired you are probably not doing what you love. Create a life around doing the things you love and success will come easier - and will have the added benefit of creating the emotions you would expect to have with that success.

It is a migration. You may not like everything about what you do right away. But by paying attention to your likes and dislikes, and finding creative ways to set yourself up, you will achieve a gradual migration from an empty life of just making money to a life of having fun with the inevitable byproduct of building wealth.

What good is all the gold in the world if you must sell your soul to get it?

You know what I mean. Get started now and let’s make 2006 our most successful year yet!

My name is Lawrence Touitou. I am a website designer and internet marketer. But while I do this as a professional I still very much consider myself a student.

I have been at it for several years and those who know me know can tell you that I am a quick study, and certainly not new to marketing, business, writing and knowing what works in the real world.

You may be surprised to know that a lot of the same tried and true principles that apply to offline business also apply to the internet. (So don’t forget what you know.)

I don’t believe in a lot of hocus-pocus, “get-rich-quick” schemes. I do however believe in creating wealth, knowing what works and being generous to others.

In the internet marketing arena, anyone with a strong desire to succeed, a willingness to learn, and some business sense can learn to do exactly what I do.

Don’t let them sit in your mailbox. That’s a no no! Be proficient and
answer them right away. No one likes to wait, especially online users.
They have the least patience of them all.

10. Get Involved. Your surfers are important for if you don’t have them
then what do you have? Cutomoze your content and make it personal. If
you involve them, interact with them they will naturally want to be
involved as well. Add polls, offer them to bookmark your site, use your
site as a homepage, place a forum, chat room, voting contest, etc.

There are many many more ways to effectively market your online site.
Do some research on the web, look at some of the other sites and

Building An Effective Banner Campaign

Banner advertising can dramatically help you increase traffic to your web site. Banner advertising can be a very cost effective marketing solution and can help you to gain access to millions of internet users. It can also prove to be a huge waste of time, even creating a net loss rather than increasing your bottom line. So we’ll try to guide you onto the path to true results and a very successful Internet Marketing campaign using banner ads.

First things first: What’s it going to cost you? Assuming you’re going to design and building your own banners, you can still loose money on the cost of advertising if you’re not careful. Work out the estimated cost of each banner advertising campaign:

Cost-per-Visitor: If you pay $10 per thousand impressions ($10/CPM), and you get a 2.0% click-through (20 visitors), your cost-per-visitor is $.50 ($10 per 20 visitors).

Cost-per-Sale: Now you know about what you’re going to pay per visitor. So what does that amount to per sale? Well, if 1 in every 20 visitors buys your product, your cost per sale is $10.00.

Total Sale Amount : $9.95 USD Paypal’s Fee Amount : -$0.59 USD Net Profit Amount : $9.36 USD

So if each sale of your product produces a gross profit of $9.36, then your net profit per-sale will be -$.64 ($9.36 gross profit - $10 cost-per-sale). This campaign is not profitable!

As you can see, something has to change in order to make a profit. That’s why it’s important to track and calculate every campaign. So what went wrong with this example?

-Paying too much for the banner space?

-Need a better click-through rate?

-Need to charge more for your product?

The truth is that only you have the information required to decide but at least at this point you’re in a better position to make a qualified decision.

Return on Investment Ratios: Your return-on-investment (ROI), before non-marketing expenses, is 0.0% ($0.00 total net profits with a $10 investment).

Experiment by advertising on multiple sites or using different banners if your budget will allow it. Find the perfect campaigns that yield the highest ROI.
