Effective Solo Ad Tip for Increased Web Site Visitors

Solo Ad writing can be mastered by anyone.

It’s not an exclusive market for high priced copywriters or self proclaimed writing experts.

Writing a solo ad can be done quickly and easily if you know the right techniques.

Here’s where the ‘expertness’ of the situation comes in. See, there are lots of different writing techniques that you can use in order to write the perfect ad, or one that closely resembles one. I even wrote a short ebook (http://www.guaranteed-ads.com/solobook )outlining seven great steps to a powerful solo ad. But, if you really want to get “technical” about it, one very powerful solo ad writing tip will do the trick.

I don’t know what the scientific name is for it, but I like to call it the ‘personal recommendation’.

Act like you’re someone else

One of the things I’ve found out in my experimentation is that the ads that work best are the ones I write that are recommending someone else’s product. People will always trust someone they know, or even heard of for that matter. If potential customers don’t know who you are, they won’t be customers. Anyone can toot their own horn, but if you can get other people to do that… you are looking a lot better.

This same concept can work if you are writing your own ads and don’t have anyone promoting your product.

The ‘personal recommendation’ technique works on the principle that someone else knows about your product and likes it enough to tell others about it. However, you’re the one doing the recommending for your own product. Make sense? Good.

How to do it

So how do you do this powerful solo ad writing technique?

Easy, just begin writing as if you love your product!

I wish I could be a little bit more big worded about it, but that’s really it.

Just start writing like you love the product.

In practical terms start out the ad with something like…

Hey (first name),

I have been wondering when I’d ever realize the potential hidden in Adsense.

I mean, I hear about all these people making thousands a month with Adsense and I’m still trying to make more than just a few pennies a day.

Do you have the same problem?

Then I listened in on an awesome teleseminar with Adsense expert (whoever). I had an eyeopening experience and I rushed right over and took a look at the ebook he wrote (whatever).

Then things really started changing!

After you have the initial introduction you continue writing about what you learned, how it helped, and how the person reading can get more information. Voila! A perfect ad that will send people to your website on your recommendation that was suppose to be from someone else!

Picky, Picky, Picky!

The secret to making money online is… your own determination. This determination, coupled with the knowledge that very few people make money online trying to promote more programs and products then they have the time and money to promote, will set you apart from the unsuccessful.

The key to making money online is advertising - over and over and over again.

The old saying, “It takes money to make money!” does apply online. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money, but being able to set aside a comfortable amount each week or month - a reserve for your online advertising needs - is important.

Initially, free methods of advertising start the ball rolling and then become sort of the “backbone” to your advertising. But, at some point, you are going to need at least a small amount of capital for advertising.

Why?

Well, simply put, paying gets you better ad placement. Since online businesses are so abundant, ensuring your website or ad sticks out is vital. If you can swing solo ads, run them! If top sponsor ads in ezines falls into your budget, use them. Many ezines run top, middle, and bottom sponsor ads in descending price categories, test them. If a paid ezine classified is all you can afford, do those.

And those free ad opportunities? Are you using them? If not, why not?! No other form of online advertising offers you continuous free methods of advertising like your ezine or newsletter subscriptions!

If you read your ezines and their ads, you’ll recognize the urls and/or style of some of the submitters of these programs. They are doing what they know will work - working their chosen program to its fullest potential.

Does this sound like you? I had a woman call me several times a while back, all the way from Puerto Rico - an international phone call. She’d joined an MLM program about 3 weeks prior and was so frustrated and angry at the lack of her success. She felt duped, cheated, conned. Even though, of her own admission, the website assured her that OVER TIME she could attain her goals.

Three weeks over time Hmmmm

What she wanted to see and tell herself when she was signing up, versus what was presented at the website, was her undoing. To believe you can, overnight, become that wealthy or retired individual is lunacy. Has it worked that way for you working offline? If so, congratulations! But, reality check(!), most of us know that even the real world doesn’t work that way. And neither does this wonderful “virtual” world.

Become picky - very, very, very picky!

Two plus years ago, I’d personally joined over 300 different programs, all types. I was so busy JOINING programs that I didn’t have time to work many of them. Unfortunately, I’d joined so many I also did not have the time to really investigate what they were - I was just a joining machine!

When I did stop for a moment and try to promote, I didn’t know what to choose. So I’d try promoting ALL of them in some way, shape, or form.

Now, you can see what an idiot I was, right?

Thank goodness for exhaustion and disgust! Reason prevailed! I looked everything over, realized I had nothing concrete - only tons of usernames and passwords - and ditched everything.

I now have my own business website, and ezine, and never more than 2 or 3 programs I tell others about - I don’t even actively pursue advertising these additional programs. I’m concentrating my full attention on what I love doing, helping others.

Ask yourself right now, “Is my plate too full?” Then, pat yourself on the back, realize you’ve reached the apex and it is decision time! Fish out one or two programs, or start fresh, and begin working an earnest, time-committed schedule to promote that program.

You can, and will, succeed - by being picky!

Quick Guide to Internet Marketing 9 Tips for Success on the Net

To market successfully you must incorporate the Internet into your business plan, but be sure to follow these 9 tips for success on the net:

1 Get Sticky
Your site is sticky if it keeps visitors looking and returning to your site. A good way to do this is to have up to date relevant information or “heroin content.”

2 Heroin Content
“Heroin content” is what web usability guru Vincent Flanders calls the information that people would crawl through a sewer for. Heroin is the most addictive drug on the planet so people will do anything for another fix. What does your website provide visitors that they just gotta have?

3 Customize
The unique quality of the internet is the ability to interact and customize content. Customized content keeps them coming back for more. Keep the connection alive by following up with useful information and news.

4 Start Your Engines
Customers that don’t know you will likely find you through a search engine. The trick is getting the search engines to find you first. Invest in good search engine software, or pay someone who knows how it works.

5 Provide Answers
People use search engines to find solutions to their problems. Is your site about solving your customer’s headaches? Most sites are self centered. Make yours customer centered by providing answers to their questions.

6 Hard Sell Vs Soft Sell
Build relationships by providing value before the sale. When it comes time to purchase, you already have an established relationship. Ask yourself what you can do for your customer rather than what your customer can do for you.

7 Navigate Straight
Don’t create a million dollar website with ten cent navigation. Simple easy to follow navigation is far more effective than nonsensical animated graphics. Think Google!

8 Be Professional
Your site reflects your work ethic and the type of service you are likely to provide your customers. Put some time, effort and money into your site to show you are top notch.

9 Don’t Be Professional
People are looking for an original and authentic voice, not the same boiler plate information. Nobody likes stiff and snobby people and they won’t like their websites either. Take advantage of the rare opportunity when someone reads your content to make a real personal connection.
